On a lazy Sunday afternoon I asked my husband in one sentence to describe me and what I am about…my style, my personality…who Jaclyn is.  His response “the old way home.”  I love this.  The old way home.  It is so true and so simple.  I am the girl who wants to take the dirt road, not the highway.  I am the girl who wants the 100 year old chest, not the brand new store bought one.  I am the girl who wants to eat clean and grow a garden for my family, not eat boxed meals.  I am the girl who wants to visit the historic landmarks, not the newest theme parks.  And most importantly I am the girl who is sooo ready to share some of my most favorite found items and design pieces with the world!

My style is to design around pieces that have a story.  I’m drawn to old and interesting pieces from years past.  I especially love to incorporate the old with the new through color and textures.  My most favorite things are all organic  – raw weathered wood, feathers, leather, flowers, jute, terracotta, glass, just to name a few!  The Frayed Feather Design Co. is my way of sharing designer furnishings and eclectic “one-of-a-kind” found antiques that speak to me.  My wish is for my pieces to help you create a space unique and beautiful to you that can tell your story.  My vision is to bring gorgeous and unusual furnishings, lighting and accessories to rural central Florida and into the homes and hearts of all who share a love of being surrounded by beauty in our everyday lives.

I am humbled and feel very blessed to have the opportunity to invite you all personally to my Frayed Feather Design Co. Fall Market.  My barn is located in Trilby, FL, just outside of Dade City, FL, about 30 minutes north of Tampa.  I will be opening my barn doors for 1 weekend only, October 28 and 29.  I can’t wait to see you all there!
